Who inspired you to blog?
My mentor pushed me to write. I used to have 3 blogs but only 1 survived. Ever since I was a kid, I would write on my diary and use codes (similar to Greek writings) that I invented so when someone accidentally pick it up, they won’t understand the stuff that I wrote about. I’m very secretive.
Why did you choose to write about travel and not other topics?
Travel and fitness to be exact. Both niches are my passion. I started traveling at age 2 because we move a lot. I guess I caught this thing called the “wanderlust bug”. Aside from travel, I also write about fitness coz I love staying fit and influencing people to stay healthy. You only got one body, take care of it.
Who would most likely be interested in your blog?
Anyone who wants to travel the world one plane ticket at a time.
What is the weirdest thing about you?
Everything is weird about me. I don’t act a certain way just because the society dictates you to be like this or that, I have my own mind and I make my own rules. I just don’t do stuff just coz it’s what people expect you to be. I’m just weird, really. I don’t act normal. For me, normal is boring.
What do you do when you are not blogging?
I like simple things like playing with my 4 dogs, driving around, doing yoga and boxing. And also, I like to make a change by saving the world. Cheesy? Nah! I recently joined Coral Triangle Conservancy where we try to protect marine life and educate people about coral reefs preservation.
Any tips for up and coming bloggers?
Blogging is nice coz you’ll get to meet a lot of people. It will make you think and write better. Some people nowadays are switching to Video blogs though (Vlogging), which is also great coz you get to practice speaking, acting on camera and what not. There’s also a chance for you to make money by blogging or vlogging whatever topic you like. I guess what I really wanted to say is that when you write something, make sure that it’s about the things you care about. You ask yourself, “What are you passionate about?” because in that way, you won’t lose your focus, it’s all about having that right amount of energy that keeps you going. Let me quote Richard Bach on this, “A professional writer is an amateur who didn’t quit.”
