We all deserve a break every once in a while. Whether it’s a luxury staycation at a fancy hotel or a weekend camping trip in the wilderness, it does not matter as long as you feel refreshed afterwards. But did you know that there’s an activity that lets you enjoy the best of both worlds?
If you want to get closer to nature without foregoing modern comforts like electricity and toilet access, then glamping is a must-try activity for you. Glamping is short for “glamorous camping” and one of the top places where you can enjoy this activity is the BLOC Camp Site in Laguna.
A Peaceful Haven
Tucked within the verdant grasslands of Cavinti, BLOC Camp Site is the ultimate place for nature lovers. This patch of green is located by a lakeside, offering campers gorgeous views of the placid waters, the lush forests, and the sprawling greenlands.
Home Away From Home
BLOC Camp Site has a variety of tents for your needs. Whether you are glamping with your family, your barkada or your significant other, BLOC has an accommodation that is perfect for you. The largest one can accommodate as many as six campers.
The tents’ air mattresses complete with pillows, blankets and linens will keep you snug. They are also equipped with their own light, electric fan for ventilation, and power outlet for charging your gadgets. Some of the tents even have their own lounge and camping chairs. You can find most of the big tents located near the common kitchen and some smaller ones by the lake. The communal toilets and baths come complete with a rainfall showerhead, bidet, and sink.
For the true glamping experience, grill and cook your food at the fully equipped common kitchen. But if you simply don’t want to be hassled, you can opt to order your food which the courteous staff will serve to you at the Camp Café come meal time. Their menu consists of traditional Filipino food. Enjoy simple dishes like adobo and sinigang, as well as exotic food like carabao beef and even rare seafood like American black bass.
Retreat and Recreate
Aside from basking in the beauty and calmness of nature, the BLOC Camp Site has plenty of recreational facilities that will surely make your glamping experience more enjoyable and memorable. The lake is not only perfect for photos, but also for a leisurely swim. You can even explore and go fishing using the available boats and kayaks. Meanwhile, the floating garden dock will make the perfect backdrop for your photos. At night, heat up in the warmth of the bonfire while singing songs with your buddies under the star-studded sky. Toasting marshmallows is also a must when camping.
