When driving around Tagaytay, all arrows seem to point at the Puzzle Mansion which has the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles in the world. An award was given by the Guinness Book of World Records in November 2012. Owned by Gina Lacuna, a local in the city, she converted her rest house into a museum and later on a bed & breakfast facility. There are over a thousand of puzzles to see and each has its own distinct design. The latest one is composed of a whopping 32,000 pieces. You can continue the fun at home by purchasing a jigsaw puzzle found in their souvenir shop.
Get lost at the not so secret Sonya’s Garden
Sonya’s Garden is a not-so-secret garden anymore because it has become popular and considered a top tourist spot in Tagaytay City. Since its opening, Tagaytay Highlands has become one of the premiere destinations for family gatherings such as weddings, anniversaries and debuts. Tagaytay Highlands also boasts its world-class golf course wherein you can play, but an endorsement from one of its members is required.
Slurp a hot bowl of Bulalo
Hot soup is a perfect match for cold weather. People drive all the way to Tagaytay just to eat their soup dish called Bulalo. No doubt, restaurants in Tagaytay City master the craft in creating their own version of bulalo. The exquisite taste of the juicy beef shanks and soft marrows from the tasty bones are truly heaven. Fresh corn, string beans, and petchay are added for crunch. Some restaurants that specialize in this dish offer a view of the Taal like Leslie’s and RSM. There are also eateries that cook bulalo and make it as their specialties like Lyleth’s Eatery/Betty’s Eatery, and Bulalo Point. A romantic place to have Bulalo is in Bag of Beans but prepare for a huge crowd.

Looking for something historical? The 30 minute-drive from Tagaytay to Geronimo Berenguer de los Reyes Jr. Museum or GBR Museum in General Trias is worthwhile. The museum is filled with photographs that date back to 19th and 20th centuries. There are over five galleries that showcase photos, books and other memorabilia of the past. Be able to see the streets of Manila and other familiar landmarks across the country two centuries ago. The museum houses rare items and for this reason, cameras are not allowed inside the galleries to avoid reproduction of those pieces.
Visit the Caleruega Church

Although already outside the city limits, Caleruega Church is associated with Tagaytay City. Most weekend visitors of Tagaytay always include Caleruega Church in their itinerary. Caleruega Church got its name from a replica of a Spanish church found in Caleruega, Spain. This church is also located within the Caleruega Retreat complex which offers spiritual retreats for small or large groups.
